Welcome (Karibu) to Serenity Bean, an ethical and socially conscious independent store located in the beautiful town of Moreton-in-Marsh in the Cotswolds. My name is Jean, and I'm the proprietor of this store. Serenity Bean was founded in 2018 after years of planning and hard work. It all started with a day vision that I had when I was praying for guidance on how to support my family after divorce in 2008. I wanted to create a store that would offer high-quality organic food at affordable prices and a customer-led service that would stock hard-to-find products personally requested by our customers.

At Serenity Bean, we believe that organic food is better for our health, the environment, and animal welfare. We are committed to making it accessible to everyone. We also believe in repurposing and reducing waste. That's why we use pre-owned appliances, antique furniture, and mismatched crockery to create a homely environment, and we work with energy providers that produce energy from renewable sources.

We proudly offer a vegetarian and vegan menu consisting of family favourites. Our classic espresso machine, varied toys and books in our family playroom, and shop fittings are a testament to the power of prayer and the diverse ideas and talents of my children and grandchild.

At Serenity Bean, we aim to create a haven for your soul where it is okay not to feel okay. We have a small team of like-minded friends who are here to listen and talk should you require moral support during a time of need. Our moto is “Coffee + Company = Community”.
